The
purpose of the National Science Foundation’s CAREER
Award is to create faculty members who will use their
research to attract and motivate students to learn better.
It is a very prestigious award. Acquisition of a CAREER
Award is particularly distinguishing in the developing
career of an assistant professor, which is why so many
apply for it – most without success. The principal reason
for failure is lack of understanding of how the application
must be written, which is what this seminar teaches.

I just can't say enough about the job [the presenter] does for new faculty. His methods work, and I cannot wait to implement what I learned today. As an engineer, educational changes are on the rise and this CAREER seminar is very timely. Thank you OGRD for organizing another excellent [Grant Writers' Seminar & Workshop] program.
I hope that we will have this workshop in future years for all of our new faculties. I think this workshop is a must that every newcomer here at WSU should attend!!!
Very informative on the key point- the role of the educational component in the proposal.
Clearly deliberated purpose, scope and educational/research, foci/integration of career awards. Thank you for providing this opportunity.
