Who He Really Is.....


When Chris isnít working, he makes a substantial effort to hike in the mountains, swim and body surf in the ocean, or snorkel among coral reefs. Since Kansas City is not well endowed with these particular natural wonders, this entails travel to exotic places as often as possible. While land-locked in KC, he is a reasonably avid biker, but not the extent that he used to be when his muscles and bones were more cooperative.

Christopher J. Papasian




Chris Papasian is Board Certified in Medical and Public Health Microbiology, has served on Editorial Boards for journals published by the American Society for Microbiology continuously since 1996, and currently serves as an Editor for 'Clinical and Vaccine Immunology'. He is coauthor on 12 book chapters and over 100 peer reviewed publications, and his research was continuously funded by the NIH as a PI or Co-I between 2000 and 2012. He has also written Microbiology questions for USMLE Step I and the American Board of Medical Microbiology, and has been repeatedly recognized for his outstanding teaching.
