The following are written comments about the seminar
(on file):

Very helpful and relevant; detailed.
Wonderful personal and professional experiences shared in a professional, logical, parsimonious manner.
This was very interesting and informative.
The presenter readily answered questions from the audience with informed details and knowledge. He also, when needed, added additional comments to better inform the individual asking the question.
Very, very helpful – thank you!
Information from yesterday’s grant writing workshop (NIH grants) was nicely tied into today’s workshop, without undue redundancy. As noted yesterday, the handouts were very much appreciated and allowed for greater attention to be directed to the presentation. I found the information on how a "K" differs from an "R" very helpful in thinking about long-term career goals. Also, the presentation provided a better understanding of the planning process involved in establishing a competitive "K" award application.
This seminar is very useful for graduate students.
Built off information presented yesterday, very good transition. Got great information on background of why choose K and what exact mechanism might be best.
Great seminar! Great speaker!
I attended the full day grants seminar when it was available in April 2009. After attending I went back and re-formatted my current application to the format presented by [the presenter]. I found the examples in the back of the handout invaluable for this process. Most importantly, I was funded (as a co-investigator on the project, not PI since I was not eligible as a post-doc)! I believe the tools presented in the grant writing seminar were in part responsible for my success. Thank you!

This is an excellent workshop, and I learned a lot from this program.

Very nice job, thank you!

All faculty should attend at least once!

As a junior faculty having just attended my first NSF review panel, I found this presentation to be very sequentially and logically outlined and detailed. I feel like this presentation has given me a good plan of action for my upcoming proposals.

I am currently a postdoc but found it extremely useful. I think a lot of the material also applies well to writing a research and teaching plan.

Terrific presentation, even though I’ve written a funded NIH R01 grant I found the workshop very practical.
