The following are written comments about the seminar
(on file):
•
This workshop presented a significant amount of information, the presentation was highly informative and the reading materials were extremely useful and also contained a significant amount of information.  The speaker was very knowledgeable about the content.
•
A well paced, in depth and step by step presentation!  Good job!
•
Excellent program.  Very informative and helpful to the new researcher and probably to more seasoned researchers as well.
•
This seminar is an excellent forum for understanding the process of grant writing.  In particular, I have been extremely benefited by the previous seminar by [the presenter].  By attending the previous grant writing seminars I have obtained two grants.
•
Two thumbs up!
•
The seminar was great.  It provided me with a lot of information and viewpoints that 1) either I had not thought about and 2) I had thought about, but not enough to keep in mind on a consistent basis.
•
Outstanding workshop.  It was really beneficial.  I did not realize all the nuances in this process.  This explained all the problems I have had getting grants funded in the past.
•
I think it was especially useful for those of us working in research who do not have their PhD yet!  It will help me submit for “smaller” grants in the mean time.
•
What a wonderful, informative program for someone like me who is new to this field.  I am not a scientist but felt the way the seminar was presented, I came away feeling more confident abut my ability to write a grant application.  Thank you.
•
Clear, organized, engaging speaker.
•
Should be mandatory for fellows who will be doing research during fellowship.
•
This is my second time attending this workshop.  Because I am in a different phase of my career, this workshop was even more valuable to me this time around.  I hope UC will continue to provide and support activities such as this for faculty development.
•
Speaker was well-informed on topic.  He gave good examples that could apply across field.  Ideas were detailed and explained clearly.  The presenter was open to questions.
•
Excellent and useful.  Would recommend to other clinician scientists.
