I want to thank you for providing me the opportunity to participate in the Grant Writers’ Seminars & Workshops (GWSW) grant writing workshop that you facilitated at WSU. I took the full grant writing workshop, for which I prepared a grant to submit to the USDA Western Region IPM in November 2008. The review panel ranked the proposal 2nd of those submitted, so the grant writing workshop seems to have paid off well! One reviewer said it was the best proposal they had ever read, which demonstrates the extent to which the grant writing workshop assisted me in preparing the grant. I also used this grant as an opportunity to have a new PhD student in my program, take a 1 day course from GWSW grant writing program, and then assist with preparing the final stages of the WRIPM grant because the grant covers expenses for this student's project/GRA. It was a valuable experience for me as well as the student. Thank you for the opportunity to participate in this valuable workshop.
