Workbooks
Our workbooks are your guide to a competitive application. Many of our clients refer to theirs as “my 'bible' for proposal writing.” This level of regard stems from the practical, step-by-step approach that is offered - which you can sample by clicking on one of the versions listed at the left. Each version begins with refinement of the idea and then systematically progresses through tips and strategies for each section of the proposal, concluding with pre-submission review and writing of the accompanying cover letter. The decision to purchase a workbook should be seen as an investment in yourself - a decision that will help to ensure that you write a highly competitive application.

Testimonials

"I purchased a copy of your “Grant Application Writers' Workbook” and used it to write my first R01 grant. Friday, I found out that I was in the 10 th percentile. Your workbook was outstanding and helped out so much. Thank you very much!”

"I have received the review of my grant application, which was written using your Workbook – a very important factor. I think that your approach and Workbook helped a lot and I will recommend them to everyone. I also want to tell you that I just got another application funded that I wrote according to your instructions. Thank you."

“The written critique of the proposal was extremely helpful, as was the in-person meeting with [the consultant]. Both processes provided valuable lessons about refining and focusing a proposal. The Workbook is a great resource that I will use extensively in future submissions.”

“The Workbook … is precisely the one thing I have been missing in my, so far unsuccessful, submissions of an R01 [application].

“Your lecture and workbooks for participants were extremely informative and perhaps distinguished from many other writing proposal seminars I have attended before. For just a day-and-a-half, I thought you succeeded in transforming a complicated mater into a plain and easy subject and, more importantly, enjoyable.”

“The Workbook is excellent, so I am ordering one for my postdoc. Hopefully, it will be as helpful to her career as it has been for mine.”

“I want to let you know that I recently received an award: five years and $1.1 million. In writing my proposal I referred often to my notes from your class and used the Workbook. Good stuff. Thank you!”

“I would like to thank you for allowing me to attend the grantsmanship workshop. It was well worth it. I had written a number of successful NRI proposals already, and served on several NRI panels, but I still learned a lot. The best aspects of the workshop were the Workbook, which is superb, and the session with internal reviewers.”
